My name is Ashley Judkins, owner of Healing to Grow Counseling Services. My interest for helping others developed early in my childhood and expanded as I grew into an adult. I knew I always wanted a career where I was able to fulfill this passion of mine. I realized that I wanted to do more than help, I wanted to give hope, encourage, touch lives and leave an impact on others with my presence and words. For that passion, I sought to launch my own private practice. I have experience working with intellectually disabled children, adolescents and adults , Alzheimer's and dementia in elderly adults, addictions, anger and severely mentally ill individuals in crisis/suicide prevention. I have a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice , a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Education Specialist Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am also a National Certified Counselor. I am currently under supervision to become a Registered Play Therapist. I am continuing to further my knowledge and skills at Capella University to obtain my PhD in counselor education and supervision. I have a strong belief that in order to heal, first, you must truly and deeply love yourself. I believe that you can grow from all aspects of life no matter the circumstances. I will help empower you to embrace your strengths, while overcoming the disadvantages, mishaps, and obstacles in life you have experienced. My goal in therapy is for you to gain self-awareness and self- confidence so you can start your process to healing. Imagine how it would feel to break the silence, no longer feeling alone and in emotional pain. You want solutions to stop the cycle of waking up in a deep, dark hole. You want to learn to love yourself despite what is happening in the world around you. You are ready to heal from your internal pain and become more self-confident so that you can feel better. I will walk beside you while providing you with a safe space where you can begin to heal and grow. I offer individual , family and/or group counseling to all individuals of life.
